Matt French is a Professional Assistant for the Physical Education Department at the Ammerman Campus.  In addition to his intramural duties for the Athletic Department, he supervises the intercollegiate basketball home games at the Brookhaven Gymnasium, and, in recent years, has successfully assisted in coaching both cross country and track & field, overseeing several All-Americans and a national championship team.  After attending Suffolk as a national-caliber student-athlete, Matt received his BA in English from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

His vision for the Intramural Program is to offer a wide variety of sports to Suffolk’s students, encourage participation, and promote fitness, sportsmanship, camaraderie and school spirit at SCCC.
