Bob Mott has been the head coach of Suffolk Community College’s cross country program since 1994. During his 20-year tenure he has coached multiple Region and District Championship men’s and women’s teams, including 15 All-Americans and 3 individual female National Champions. In 2007 the women’s team won the NJCAA Division III National Championship and Coach Mott was named NJCAA Women’s National Coach of the Year.

Coach Mott is a Professional Assistant and Adjunct Instructor for the Physical Education Department at the Ammerman Campus. He was a national-caliber junior college athlete while attending Suffolk where he was a member of the 1985 Region XV Championship cross country team, and an All-County cross country and track & field athlete at Longwood High School. After graduating Suffolk, Mott went on to receive his BSE in Physical Education from Cortland State College and his Masters in Liberal Arts with Coaching Certification from Stony Brook University.
