Two Teams.  Two Games.  Two Championships.

The top-seeded and nationally ranked No. 4 women's soccer team captured the 2025 Region 15 Division III Women's Soccer Championship by defeating second-seeded Nassau Community College, 8-0, at Mitchel Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon. 

Keira Maher netted three goals for the Sharks, while Julea Pinto provided two goals. Ana Onalan scored the official match-winning goal in the 12th minute and added two assists. Sophia Emr tallied a goal and a helper, while Courtney Vercillo added a goal of her own. Makayla Morganelli compiled two providers. In net, Alison Lane earned the shutout victory. 

Suffolk County now earns an automatic bid into the NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament which will take place from November 11 until November 16 at Herkimer College in Herkimer, N.Y. 

The NJCAA Selection Show will take place on Tuesday, at 5 p.m. eastern time., on the NJCAA Network. It will reveal the full NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament bracket. 

 

The top-seeded and nationally ranked No. 9 men's soccer team captured the 2025 Region 15 Men's Soccer Championship by defeating second-seeded Ulster County Community College, 2-0, at Mitchel Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon. 

The Sharks now earns an automatic bid into the NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament which will take place from November 11 until November 16 at Herkimer College in Herkimer, N.Y. 

The Sharks struck early as Steven Vargas netted the official match-winning goal just 1:12 into the contest. Jazai Kidd provided the assist on the play. Suffolk Country struck again in the 50th minute as Nicholas Rojas fed the ball to Carlos Alay who rifled the ball into the back of the net to extend the Sharks' benefit to 2-0 and that ended up being the final score. 

Benjamin Allen stopped all six shots he faced to earn the shutout victory for Suffolk County.
