Congratulations to our Sharks Baseball team on their 2021 Region XV Championship!
The Sharks swept Nassau CC for the title, winning the 2-3 series, 13-0 and 15-0.

The Sharks finished the regular season on a 16-game win streak - and an overall record of 19-8-1!
Some player highlights, from Coach Galbraith:
Jake Giannico was awarded All-Region OF. Also league MVP with a .444 avg and 26 RBIs, only striking out 7 times in 90 ABs! Jake is one of the best hitters around and is very coachable! Outstanding plate discipline!
Anthony Amato was awarded All-Region DH with a .388 avg 24 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. Great all around athlete that quietly went about his business - but he could fly on the bases and drove in a lot of runs with his opposite field power!Chad Pike was awarded All-Region SS. He batted .315 avg with 20 RBIs and 3 HRs. Chad was an outstanding SS and a team leader that made countless outstanding plays for the team! Very hard working player that will be missed!
Nick LoMonaco was awarded All-Region OF. With .347 avg 16 RBIs and 24 stolen bases, Nick was a monster on the base path and caused absolute chaos for the opposition!
Alec Maag was awarded All-Region 1B with .405 avg 16 RBIs. Alec is commited to Adelphi for 2022 and will be an impact player for them!
Matt Maurer was awarded the covenant Gold Glove Award for Region XV Defensive Player of the Year. Maurer is hands down the best defense/receiving catcher Suffolk has seen in a while and gave his pitchers confidence!
Peter Montana had an outstanding tournament going 5-8 with multiple clutch hits and 2 doubles! Pete batted .450 with 29 RBIs - he caught absolute fire second half of the season!
Ray Hoffman was awarded all tournament team as starting pitcher for Game 2 of the series, going 5 innings, holding Nassau to 0 runs and 2 hits!
Tyler DiRocco was awarded all tournament team as starting pitcher for Game 1 of the series, going 6 innings, allowing 1 run and 1 hit!
Kevin Hahn was awarded All-Region pitcher with an ERA of 3.38 and 8.97 K's per nine!
Tyler Sebold was awarded the Region XV Sportsmanship Award! Tyler is the hardest working player on our club and has been an absolute inspiration and positive example on how to approach life and follow your dreams!Congratulations to all for a great season!GO SHARKS!!!
